The environment is a key consideration behind all of our work at D A Giles Ltd and we are aware that our kind of industry may not always appear to have green credentials. However, we have many systems in place to ensure that damage to the environment is kept to a minimum. Such schemes include:

• Working towards waste reduction by reusing materials where possible and recycling
• Ensuring that hazardous waste is disposed of properly and by authorised contractors
• Carrying out works on site with the minimum disturbance to flora and fauna, although on main contractor sites, environmental impact assessments will already have been carried out by the main contractor/client.
• Using local suppliers wherever possible.
• Encouraging vehicle sharing to reduce emissions
